The Planning and Logistics Lead collaborates with production teams to ensure optimum capacity utilization and adherence to schedules for isotope-based products. They will plan and oversee the transportation and distribution of isotope products, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements governing radioactive materials. Serve as the single point of contact for customers, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
About the Role
Major accountabilities:
- Manage the production planning of all BOM & Sub-BOM orders and shipments ensuring that product is produced, shipped & released on time
- Ensure all shipping paperwork including BOL, radioactive labels, DGD and shipping labels are prepared accurately
- Ensuring the couriers are fully informed about the shipments, delivery instructions and delivery times
- Making sure Customs and FDA releases are on time for all import shipments
- Making schedules to plan drivers and outsourced transports
- Support all AAA departments for export and import shipments if needed
- Support in SOP creation and WP updates.
- Ensure the flights and other means of transport are booked to get the products to the customer on time
- Ensure direct communication with Customer Service / next point of supply chain, plant internal and -external stakeholders & partners regarding internal changes
- Providing solutions for risen problems or difficulties. Optimize local planning processes such as excess doses, throughput time and waiting times of sources
- Represent the point of contact for follow-up on time delivery dates & escalating changes related to supply.

- Own and manage the planning parameters in planning system.
- Responsible for organizing and follow up of logistic flows (including labelling) of final products to customer (freight out)
- Making sure all logistics operations comply to DGR, DOT and IATA standards
- Support on site change controls and create/review/approval of Quality documentation (deviations, CAPAs, risk assessments, Change Controls, supplier complaints, escalation/FARs, APR)
- Establishes optimal master production schedule for the tactical horizon from month 3 / 4 to 24 months, including Production volumes based on demand, rough cut capacity analysis and resources allocation resulting in anticipated operational costs and inventory levels.
- Ensures that the customers have clear visibility of the current valid supply plan and monitor the delivery commitments in terms of quantities and timelines, in accordance to the Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Coordinates action plans to remediate to resources constraints and manages supply KPI reporting and analysis.
- Ensures right level of SKU Inventories at the next point of the supply chain.
- Project, Process -Confirms supply orders, firmed production orders at the entry point of the time fence.
- Ensure process and SAP knowledge is continuously enlarged and applied in order to fully leverage the value of the integrated SAP system and to achieve high level of service, cost efficiency, quality and compliance.
The salary for this position is expected to range between $103,600 and $192,400 per year.
The final salary offered is determined based on factors like, but not limited to, relevant skills and experience, and upon joining Novartis will be reviewed periodically. Novartis may change the published salary range based on company and market factors.
Your compensation will include a performance-based cash incentive and, depending on the level of the role, eligibility to be considered for annual equity awards.

Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree is required; Master's Degree is preferred.
- 5+ years of relevant experience is required.
- SAP and Microsoft Dynamics D365 experience is preferred.
- APICS certification is preferred
- Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks based on demand.
- Problem solving ability in cross-functional and multi-cultural environment.
- Operating with integrated ERP tools. Proficient with MS Excel.
- Highly organized with strong orientation process / project management orientation
- Ability to adapt to flexible working hours
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrates strong personal ethics and responsibility to purpose
